Man Hurt In Ambulance Crash

A man has been seriously hurt when his car collided with an ambulance on the way to a call-out in the New Forest.

The driver, aged in his 20s, was travelling between Old Christchurch Road and Everton Road at Everton when the crash happened just before 5pm on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries.

There were no patients in the ambulance at the time and no one else was injured.

Hampshire police say they want to speak to the drivers of two cars who slowed down for the ambulance shortly before the crash.

Officers also want to hear from the driver of a white van seen in the area at the time.
