Man Bailed Over Hit And Run Death

A man's been bailed after being questioned over the death of a seven-year-old boy dragged 60 yards along a road underneath a van by a hit-and-run driver.

Ehsaan Haque from Portsmouth suffered fatal injuries when he was struck down after getting out of his uncle's car in Ilford, east London, on July 28.

He was left in a critical condition with multiple wounds until his death at Southampton General Hospital on August 10.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a 28-year-old man was arrested on Thursday over the incident and was questioned at an east London police station. He's since been bailed.

He added police recovered the blue Toyota Hiace Powervan involved in the crash from Collier Row, Romford.
