Man Threatens Driver With Knife

Police in Southampton are appealing for witnesses after a man threatened a car driver with a knife.

As well as the 35-year-old driver there was his friend, a 35-year-old woman and her 12 year-old girl daughter in the car.

He was driving from Portswood to Millbrook with them shortly after 9.30pm on Sunday, March 11 when he saw a man stood in the middle of the road in Lockerly Crescent. The car was forced to slow down and as it stopped the man then jumped intothe back of the car and took out a large 8 inch knife. He held it to the driver’s throat and ordered him to drive.

Police were called shortly afterwards but by then the man had made good his escape.
