Man Wanted Over 'Violent' Burglaries

Detectives have released the photograph of a man, wanted in connection with a series of Southampton aggravated burglaries.

Jack Leigh Murray, 27, of Shawford Close, Southampton, is alleged to have been one of a group of men who carried out a series of violent burglaries between November 2012, and January 2013.

The police investigation was named Operation Starling.

Detective Constable Janine Bradley said:

“This man knows we want to talk to him, but so far he has managed to avoid all attempts to locate him. It is vital that we find him and question him about a number of extremely violent incidents.

“Someone must know where he can be located, and we would urge them to assist the police in finding this man."

Mr Murray is known to frequent the Southampton, Winchester and Gosport areas of Hampshire. He is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall and of slight build. He has straight blond cropped hair and brown eyes. He sometimes wears glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Bradley or Operation Starling at Bitterne CID on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111.
