Man's Face Slashed In Southsea

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Fawcett Road, Southsea at around 1am on Wednesday, January 11.

A 50-year-old Portsmouth man was cycling past the Fawcett Inn when he was approached by two men.
 
The man told police that the men demanded he hand over his watch before assaulting him. The man sustained an injury to his face, believed to be caused by a bladed weapon.
 
No property was taken from the man.
 
The man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, his facial injury required stitches.
