Man's Head Stamped On In Waterlooville Attack

Detectives are investigating a brutal attack on a man in Waterlooville - who had his head stamped on.

It happened on Sunday (2 November) between 1.30 and 1.55am as the 28-year-old man walked through Jubilee Park.

He was approached by three men-one punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.

His head was also stamped upon, and he was knocked unconscious. When he came round, he was helped to his feet by an unknown man.

The victim left the park and shortly after encountered a woman who helped him to call police. One of the men was described as:

- White
- 19-20 years old
- Slim build
- 5ft 11
- Wearing a light blue hooded top and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms.

Another was described as:

- White
- 19-20 years old
- Slim build
- 5ft 9
- Wearing a burgundy coloured hooded top.

The victim was treated for a suspected fractured jaw in hospital.

Detective Constable Michael Strangeway who is investigating said:

"We're keen to trace a number of people who are vital witnesses.

"We'd like to speak with a woman who was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa in the car park on Milton Road near to Jubilee Park at the time of the incident.

"We are also keen to speak with an unknown man who helped the victim after the assault and also the woman who helped him contact the police.
