Minibus Driver Charged Over Cyclist's Death

A minibus driver's been charged in connection with the death of a cyclist in a crash in Southampton in December.

Steven Carl Petterson, 38, of Waterhouse Lane, Southampton, has been charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention. He's been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Friday 7th June.
 
On Monday 17th December 2012, the Ford Transit minibus he was driving was in collision with a bicycle on Mountbatten Way. The cyclist, 48-year-old David Irving from Wimborne (pictured), died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of a Mercedes Coupe, a 56-year-old man from Fordingbridge, also arrested at the time, was released with no further action
