Two Girls Indecently Assaulted Last Sunday
Missing Gosport Sailor's Wife Wants Government Help
The wife of a Gosport sailor, who went missing a year ago, is calling on the government to step in and help find him.
Leading Seaman Timothy Andrew MacColl, 27, known as Timmy, was a member of the crew of Portsmouth-based HMS Westminster, which arrived in Dubai on 26th May 2012 before setting sail again last Thursday.
His family said the married father of two, whose wife has since given birth to their third child, was last seen by a shipmate getting into a taxi alone at about 2am on 27th May.
He is said to have just left the Rock Bottom Bar at the Regent Hotel in the area of Deira, about a 15-minute drive from Port Rashid, where HMS Westminster was docked.
His wife Rachael say the police in Dubai aren't co-operating with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office:
"Unless I'm actually in Dubai at the time, I don't hear anything. All communications from this country contacting Dubai police has led to nothing. They refuse to comment or send any information back to the UK.
"If my husband was killed or murdered, I don't know about it. I need the help of David Cameron to try to push Dubai into opening up the lines of communications so I can start to find out the answers.
"I have three children, one of which was born after he went missing. And it's very hard to turn around and tell them, day in day out, that he's not coming home."
Two Royal Navy investigators have been sent to the country over the Bank Holiday weekend. The Navy says they are just there to support the family and not to conduct any new enquiries, as Dubai police are leading the investigation.
Leading Seaman MacColl is described as white, 5ft 8in, of medium build, with short brown hair cropped with a flicked fringe.
He speaks with a broad Scottish accent and was wearing a red Moto GP T-shirt, dark-coloured long shorts and white trainers.
