Two Motorcyclists Die In Crashes

Hampshire police are investigating two fatal motorbike crashes, which happened separately.

In the first, a man died when his motorbike collided with a car at Oakhanger near Bordon on the evening of Thursday 4th July.

At around 5.15pm, a Honda Blackbird motorcycle driven by a 40-year-old man from the Bordon area collided with a silver Mitsubishi Shogun driven by a 60-year old man from the Alton area.

The rider suffered serious injuries and died shortly after. No-one else was injured and no arrests were made.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit at Fratton are currently investigating.

They want to speak to the driver of a large horse transporter, described as being silver with horses painted on the rear of the vehicle and maroon zig zags running down the side.

Elsewhere, a 42 year-old man died on the A31 at Northfield Lane in Alton.

The crash, involving a blue and red Honda motorcycle, happened at approximately 6.40pm on Thursday, July 4th.

The rider, from Oakhangar, near Bordon, died at the scene.

Police investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses to the crash or anyone who believes they saw the motorcycle in the minutes prior to it, to get in touch.
