Police investigating the light aircraft crash in a field near Andover on Saturday, April the 17th have named the two men who died in the crash.

They were 55-year-old Shorland Hosking and Richard Wheeler who was 50.  Both men were from Dorset.

The Department for Transport's Air Accidents Investigation Branch and Hampshire police are jointly investigating the incident which happened at around 5.20pm in a field off Red Post Lane, Monxton.

Mr Hoskings family issued the following tribute:

"Shorland had been flying for a number of years and was a very competent pilot; who had not only flown locally but also abroad. Flying was his passion and this tragic accident has left the whole family devastated. However, as a committed Christian and follower of Jesus, the family takes comfort knowing that death is not the end. They would ask that they be given privacy at this hugely difficult time."
