Saints Striker Targeted On Twitter

Southampton striker Billy Sharp's been targeted on Twitter over the death of his baby son.

Sharp moved to Saints from Doncaster Rovers last month and it's believed the tweets came from a Doncaster fan.

The player's son Luey-Jacob died at the end of last year when he was two days old.

The messages have since been taken down.

In a statement on Doncaster Rovers' official website, the club says: "Doncaster Rovers Football Club are aware of the twitter feed from a fan called Chris Boyd.

We are investigating the matter at the moment and will take appropriate action.

The club will not tolerate the misuse of social media or obscene language in any way."
