Several homes in Southampton are without power after big thunderstorms overnight.
Properties in the West End area of the city are being affected.
There was also some localised flooding causing problems on some major roads earlier.
In Cornwall, 50 homes had to be evacuated after flash flooding the small costal village of Coverack.
Two people have to be winched to safety using a coastguard helicopter.
There is still a weather warning in place for more heavy rain in Hampshire until 10pm tonight (Wednesday).
Steven Keates from the Met Office told Heart the nature of further thunderstorms would be "hit and miss'' and showers should move through the country "relatively quickly".
