Teenage Girl Punched By Driver
Police in Gosport are investigating an assault that happened in Rowner Lane on Monday, August 30.
Between 0.30am and 1am, a 16-year-old girl was walking along the road when a black car pulled up beside her and a man got out to ask for directions. Without provocation, he then assaulted the girl by punching her in the face and pulling her hair. She fought him off and ran away.
The girl did not suffer any visible injury during the incident.
The suspect is described as:
- White
- In his forties
- Had short dark hair and a large nose.
Detective Constable David Sheppard said:
"The girl is unfortunately unable to provide us with any more information about the suspect, so we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen this incident take place."
