Teenager Attacked And Robbed By Two Men In Southsea

Police are looking for two men who attacked and robbed a young woman in Southsea.

At some time between 12.20am and 12.35am on Monday 28 July, the 18-year-old victim walked along Somers Road before turning into Chivers Close alleyway.
 
Once in the alleyway, she was approached by two males who had been following her.  They grabbed hold of her before stealing her handbag.
 
They took a large amount of cash from the bag before they returned it to her, and ran off towards Somers Road.  They also took two purses and a mobile phone.

Officers have descriptions of the two men they would like to speak to.  The first offender is described as:
 
- White
- 5ft 5ins
- Wearing a black hoodie
- He spoke with a local accent
 
The second offender is described as:

- White
- 5ft 2ins
- Wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up
- He spoke with a local accent
 
Detective Constable Chris Dinenage, said:

“We are appealing for anyone who has any information about this attack, or about the offenders, to come forward.

“As always, I would urge people to take care when they are walking around the city at night and where possible keep to main roads or walk with friends. Be aware who is around you and report any suspicious activity to the police.”
