Thieves Raid Pawn Shop

Police are appealing for witnesses after a high value robbery at a Pawnbrokers in Cosham.

It happened at H&T Pawnbrokers, in the High Street at around 3.50pm, Wednesday, September 14.

Three men entered the shop. Two jumped over the counter and removed jewellery from behind the counter and the front window. The third man held the door closed.

After a few minutes the three men ran off. A member of staff at Costa coffee shop saw the men and chased them into Pervin Road, the men were seen to turn right into an alleyway at the top of the road before disappearing.

The three men were wearing hooded tops with the hoods up, white cotton gloves and white dust masks.

Two female staff members at the shop were shaken but unhurt.

Approximately £4500 pounds worth of gold jewellery was stolen from the shop.

Polcie say the area would have been very busy around the time of the robbery and they're appealing for anyone who may have seen it or has any information about the identity of the offenders to make contact.
