Waterlooville Family Targeted Again
Police release CCTV of offenders in latest attack in campaign of criminal damage against Waterlooville family.
Police in Waterlooville have released CCTV of offenders they believe are responsible for a campaign of criminal damage against a family in London Road, Waterlooville.
Steven Walker and his family have suffered four incidents against their cars and property in the last 11 months, costing £30,000 in damage.
The most recent incident was at 9.44pm on Friday when offenders scaled the gated driveway of his Waterlooville home and smashed the windows of his purple Audi A3 and a blue Nissan Navara belonging to a visiting friend.
On April 5, 2011 paint stripper was thrown over the walls of the Walker property, damaging their three cars, a red Dodge Ram, silver Lexus LS460 and a green Jaguar XJR and also a neighbouring property.
A month later, on June 17, 2011, Mr Walker returned home to find his two work vans had been shot at with an air rifle.
In November 2011, white gloss paint was thrown over the Walker’s gates, wall and driveway.
Two men, believed to be the offenders in Friday’s incident, were seen getting into a small dark coloured hatchback car with a loud exhaust.
It left the scene and accelerated very quickly south on London Road. It then pulled out of the bus lane and nearly collided with another vehicle.. Police are keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle, who may hold vital information which could identify theoffenders.
Mr Walker is now putting up a £1,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible.
PC Matt Cumming of Waterlooville, said: “It should be no surprise that this has had a profound affect on Mr Walker and his family.
“They have now suffered their fourth attack inside a year and it simply has to stop.
“We’re appealing to anyone who may have information about any of the incidents, or who knows those responsible, to call us at the earliest opportunity.
“People have a right to go about their lives without fear of attack on themselves or their property. We are hoping with Mr Walker’s offer of reward, someone may be encouraged to come forward and help us bring the perpetratorsto justice.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Matt Cumming at Waterlooville police station on 101.
Alternatively, call the Crimestoppers charity line on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
