Police investigating an allegation of rape in Portsmouth have arrested a woman.
The 32-year-old was questioned on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and bailed until Wednesday, July 28, pending further enquiries.
On Monday, July 5, a woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted by a man she met while walking on Fratton Road earlier that day.
Detectives later arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of rape. He has now been released without charge.
