Woman Attacked In Winchester
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Winchester during the early hours of June 16th.
A woman in her 20s was walking home along Romsey Road at around 3am, when she described being aware of a man behind her.
The man ran at her and, following a struggle, indecently assaulted her and then punched her in the face before running off.
Inspector Rachel Upfold said:
”We would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along Romsey Road, either on foot or in a vehicle between 2.30 and 3.30 on June 16th.
“Perhaps you noticed the victim? She is 5 ft 4 tall, small build, with long blonde hair wearing blue jeans and a black jacket.”
She added: “The man is described as white, with a tanned complexion; in his mid twenties; wearing dark clothing. He had medium length blonde layered hair and has been described as having a “Roman” quite pointed nose."
