Job Losses at Exeter Call Centre

Heart has learned that around 400 jobs are being lost at Diligenta in Clyst St Mary.

The company run the call centre for the Life and Pensions industry, and have told Heart that they plan to totally leave Exeter by the end of February 2015.

In a statement to Heart the company have said that they have: "consulted with employee representative bodies about changes in our business structure including a reduction in roles following a planned future site exit in Exeter. 

"We plan to exit the Winslade Park site in Exeter by the end of February 2015. 

"We are committed to supporting impacted employees throughout the process and our current plans are to retain a very limited presence in the city to accommodate specialist roles to support our future business plans. We are unable to comment further at this time."
