Heart's Holiday Reps - Rules
Hearts Holiday Reps on Heart Devon,
June – August 2012.
RULES
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/competition) apply to ‘Heart’s Holiday Reps’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 4th June to 25th August 2012 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Heart Devon.
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
Details of the Competition:
3. To enter the Competition an Entrant will need to be aged between the ages of 6 and 12 years old between June 4th and August 25th 2012 and must go online to heart.co.uk and do the following:
3.1 Entrants will need to submit a maximum of 100 words detailing a fun day out they have had via heart.co.uk.
3.2 Online entry will open at 00:00 on Monday June 4th 2012 and close at 23:59 on Sunday 10th of June 2012.
4. The judging panel will be made up of radio professionals and tourism experts from the Devon Association of Tourist Attractions and entries will be scored out of 10 on each of the following criteria:
• How entertaining was the entry?
• How informative was the entry?
• How descriptive was the entry?
• How original was the entry?
5. Entrants MUST be available when requested from the 17th June – 14th of July to visit locations across Devon accompanied by Global Radio staff. Entrants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21.
6. By entering this competition you are confirming that parental consent has been obtained for all activity as well as using images audio and video of the child in the media.
8. Telephone interview Round:
8.1 Our shortlisted entrants will then be interviewed on the telephone by Global Radio employees and this will be recorded.
8.2 They will be judged and scored out of 10 on the following criteria:
• Clarity
• Confidence
• Entertaining
9. Finalists will be shortlisted and invited to visit the studios of Heart South West in Exeter. T
9.1 hey will need to make their own way here and back.
9.2 They will meet programming staff, and take part in a series of tasks.
9.3 Here they will be judged and scored out of 10 on the following criteria:
• Clarity
• Confidence
• Entertaining
• Personality
• Appearance
• Professionalism
10. Four winners will then be selected.
11. By submitting your entry to the site www.heart.co.uk to the Radio Station you: (i) warrant that you control all copyright and all other rights (including, without limitation, performers’ rights) in and to such video / image / audio / other]; and (ii) confirm the grant by you to the Radio Station [and Global Radio] of a worldwide, perpetual, royalty free licence in the copyright and all other rights in and to the video / image / audio / other (including, without limitation, performers’ rights) and you waive any moral rights and like rights you have in relation to the video; so that the Radio Station, Global Radio and The Devon Association of Tourist Attractions shall be entitled to use the video in any and all media at no cost to the Radio Station and Global Radio and such use shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
Eligibility:
12. Entrants must be between the ages of 6 and 12 between June 4th and August 25th and meet all guidelines set out above.
13. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed.
Prize:
14. The four winners will each attend a number of attractions in Devon as Heart's Holiday Reps and their reports appear on air and online.
15. The winners will be given a family ticket to a tourist attraction of their choice listed at lotstodo.co.uk.
16. The winner will also win a Nintendo Wii.
