Choose your class

Some people find going to the gym a chore, and almost force themselves to go purely out of routine but exercising, it can be a fun, exciting and an enjoyable experience if you want it to be.

The majority of gyms out there offer a variety of exercise classes for you to take part in to mix up your fitness regime. These can range from dance, aqua aerobics, yoga and a whole load more. Not only will you be able to keep fit, the classes can be sociable too.

You can find out more information on what’s on offer at your local gym but here are a few popular examples to give you a better idea.

Zumba Classes : Zumba is a way to exercise and lose weight without realising it. If you really go for it you can lose between 500-1000 calories with just one dance session. It’s just a really fun way to combine a mix of salsa beats and dance moves and keep fit at the same time.  

Pilates : If you’re looking to improve coordination and balance, build strength and endurance without looking bulky, then Pilates is for you. It’s proven very popular with women who want to develop their flexibility and maximise and tone all muscles in their body including arms, legs and abs.

Spinning : If you want to focus on your lower body fitness, tone and build your leg muscles then you could join a group spin class at your gym. This vigorous cycle workout will get you energised and burn those unwanted calories fast.

Step Class : Get those muscles and joints stepping to the beat at a group step class.
