Kate Shapland

Kate Shapland has written a critically-acclaimed weekly beauty column for the Telegraph Magazine for the past eight years. 

In a career spanning 20 years she has written for all the top glossies, editing the beauty pages for Marie Claire and She, and had columns in newspapers ranging from the Daily Mail to the News of the World and Sunday Telegraph.

She has been awarded best UK beauty journalist twice and best national newspaper beauty journalist three times in the past six years. 

Kate has worked for GMTV, This Morning and The Big Breakfast as a beauty broadcaster.  She consults to retailers and beauty companies on marketing, PR and branding initiatives. 

In 2000 she was nominated for a Young Achiever’s Award from Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) for a skincare range she developed for Debenhams.  In 2010 she received an Achiever’s Award from CEW for her services to the beauty industry. 

Kate is also an avid blogger; she edits The Leg Room, an insightful and entertaining read on maximising the health and appearance of legs, bums and feet.
