Winter glamour

The winter weather is no friend to dating.

It’s important to make a good first impression but it can be tricky when you turn up to your date bundled up in coats and scarves with a bright pink face and a streaming nose.

But don’t despair – there are a few simple things you can do to look your best.

Wear lots of layers:
It may sound obvious but on cold days it can be tempting to pop on your thermals and a big jumper, thinking you’ll never be too warm. However, public transport and even a brief walk will soon warm you up and you’ll kick yourself for not having more clothing options.

Stay dry:
If it’s raining, do yourself a favour and take a taxi to your date. This way you’ll avoid straggly hair, wet clothes and that awful feeling of water soaking up your trouser legs. If you get wet you’ll spend the entire date feeling uncomfortable, rather than relaxing and having fun.

Dress up!
Just because it’s dingy outside, doesn’t mean you have to be. Lots of colour, accessories and general sparkle will brighten up a room and keep your date’s eyes firmly fixed on you.
