Flirting Rules: What He Says And What He REALLY Means
Do you spend too much time analysing everything your crush says? If you can't work out whether he fancies you, here are some tell-tale flirty comments that mean he's probably into you too...
"Stop flirting with me!" = "KEEP flirting with me!"
If a guy spends his time teasing and trying to embarrass you, he's probably flirting. Whether it's fear of rejection or just friendly banter, men (and women) tend to whip out the insults rather be nice when they're into each other. Give as good as you get, but be careful not to cross the line into darn right offensive or you could put him off.
"How do you know that guy?" = "Is that guy your boyfriend?"
If he's asking about your weekend chances are he's just being nice, but if he's probing you about who you spent it with, that's a different matter. If you mention a guy friend in passing and he jumps on it and follows up with questions, then he could be trying to work out if you're taken.
"I can't believe you... *insert insignificant fact about yourself*" = "I remember even the small things you say because I like you"
Whether you've revealed your embarrassing crushes or just told him you hate marshmallows, if he likes you he'll remember the little details that make you unique. There's a fine line between taking an interest and stalking though, so if he mentions where you go for a wax... RUN!
"I bet you love PDAs" = "Can I kiss you in public?"
Saying "I bet..." in relation to anything is a great way to find out what someone really thinks about the topic without asking them directly. Either you'll agree and he'll know its ok to go in for a smooch or you'll disagree and he knows you're more of the shy type, either way he's thinking about you *like that*.
"Do you want to come to the pub with my friends?" = "My mates want to meet the girl I keep talking about"
When a man puts you and his friends in the same scenario, it's good news. He's either getting their approval, showing you off or checking to see whether you all get on. If you're meeting a guy's mates, you're definitely being considered as girlfriend material.
"I think you'd get on with my mum" = "You're basically my dream woman"
It's an old cliché that guys are attracted to girls that remind them of their mum but in most circumstances, that's usually right. Plus, if he's talking about you and his family in the same sentence, that could mean he's imagining your future together.
