We can pretty much agree that Beyonce's figure is pretty much perfect, while her sculpted curves look as though they've been hand-carved by angels.

While we can all agree that her high-intensity dance moves whilst performing hits on stage is the main reason for her enviable figure, fitness guru Marco Borges has devised a diet-plan that will get you looking bootylicious too.

Marco helped Beyonce get in shape for her 'Formation' world tour and is now spilling all her fitness secrets.

CARDIO:

According to Marco, the 'Single Ladies' hitmaker favours boxing and swinging weighted ropes to help build up her endurance and she does plenty of one-minute sprints followed by two-minute power walking over the course of thirty minutes to help burn that fat.

TONING:

The mother-of-one tones her entire body with a move called the kettlebell squat-and-press, which involves holding a dumbbell by your chest and squatting so low that your elbows touch your knees. You then come back up, raise the dumbbell above your head and repeat.

To tone her legs, Beyonce swears by single-leg step-ups, and limbers up by stretching her entire body after her workout.

REFUELLING:

Beyonce's post-workout fuel is essential to help her muscles recover and Marco claims she sips on a smoothie made with pea protein powder, almond milk, frozen fruit and spinach.

Followers of the diet are said to swear by its five core principles, which are:

  1. Choose plant-based over processed

  2. Eat three mindful meals a day

  3. Aim for 80 per cent carbohydrates, ten per cent fat and ten per cent protein

  4. Exercise for 30 minutes each day

  5. Drink plenty of water

Marco Borges gained popularity in May last year when he released the 22-Day Revolution book based around a whole-food plant-based diet, which puts a ban on meat, eggs, dairy, alcohol and processed foods for 22 days, which is the length of time it reportedly takes to build new food habits.

Since then, Bey has been singing his praises as she claims he help give her the lifestyle shake up she needed to get into shape.

Writing in the foreword of his book Beyonce said: "The truth is that if a Houston-born foodie like me can do it, you can too. You just need to try it for 22 days."

Beyonce, who was raised in Texas and loves her southern delights, started Mr Borge's regime back in 2013, along with her husband Jay Z.

"Our hometown favourites were fried chicken, fajita tacos, BBQ burgers, BBQ rips, fried shrimp, and Po’ boy sandwiches," she says of her past eating habits, adding that her food choices were "silently sabotaging" her health.

Beyonce continues: "After having my daughter, I made a conscious effort to regain control of my health and my body b ut I didn’t want to do a crash diet. I was a mom now. I needed to change my ways and set an example for my child."
