The biggest challenge used to be eating a donut without licking your lips but now it seems that the challenging part is footing the bill.

London-based Dum Dum Donutterie has created the 'cronut', which is a cross between a croissant and a donut, and this one in particular will set you back a whopping £1,500, meaning that it's the world's most expensive donut.

The patisserie is created with some of the world's rarest ingredients such as Cristal rosé champagne caviar, gold leaf, Tahitian gold vanilla beans and rare Italian-made Amedei Porcelana chocolate.

And the opulence doesn't stop there. The chefs used saffron-infused butter croissant dough for the base, giving it a stripy appearance, lending it to it's nickname, the 'Luxury Zebra Cro'.
