Avoid The Christmas Bloat With These Easy Tricks To Shrink Your Waist

Bloating, weight loss, stomach, fitness

If there was ever a time where it's perfectly acceptable to pile on the pile on the pounds, it's Christmas time.

Let's be honest, once Turkey Day is officially upon us we'll be making our way through mince pies and that tub of miniature heroes like there's no tomorrow, because you can always detox in January right?

But what if you could actually enjoy yourself over Christmas without putting on half a stone?

Well, experts think you can! What's more they've released tips to detox before Christmas to ensure you're not carrying any extra weight into the New Year.

Have a good breakfast!

Yep, better get yourself some eggs and gammon on Christmas Day. Starting your day with a meal that is full of protein will keep your body fuller for longer and curb any cravings later on in the day.

Get a good night's sleep!

It can be hard to get a good night's kip during party season, but take one or two nights off a week and get an early night. This will stop your adrenal glands going into overdrive and producing lots of cortisol which makes you crave sugary and salty foods more.

Cram in those vegetables!

Advises having a lighter Christmas dinner by filling at least half your plate with vegetables before adding anything else. And no, this doesn’t include roast potatoes!  Stick to green vegetables are excellent as they are low in calories and high in fibre, vitamins and minerals. So pile up on those brussels!

Take supplements!

When you are wolfing down rich foods and drink, it’s a good idea to take some probiotics and digestive enzymes to help your gut manage all that extra work.

Late nights can wreak havoc on your immune system so give it a boost with supplements like Bionutri’s elderberry complex or Nutri Advanced Immunoblast. Also make sure to top up on your vitamin D.

Drink lots of water!

We don't want to be the party pooper but you should really try and have a glass of water between each alcoholic drink! It can slow down your drinking and help prevent binging on turkey sandwiches later on in the night. Trust us when we say, your head will thank us the next day.

Milk thistle is your friend!

This extract might as well be a magic potion in a bottle, as it can basically relieve symptoms of too much food and alcohol. Be sure to take a capsule/tablet before starting the evening’s celebrations, as well as afterwards and the next morning!
