John Galliano found guilty of racial abuse

Designer will only have to pay fine of £2.60

The former Dior designer verbally abused three people with racial and anti-Semitic slur in Paris last February.

Galliano was having a drink at La Perle bar in Paris' trendy Marais quarter, when for no apparent reason he insulted some customers he did not know.

The Gibraltar-born designer has been told to pay £2.60 in damages to his victims, the lawsuit costs of the anti-racists organisations who've pursued the case and he was also given a suspended fine of 6,000 euros.
