Vivienne Westwood launches Diamond Jubilee collection

The fashion designer has created dresses inspired by the Queen's gowns

The line, called the Red Carpet Capsule Collection, has been created to mark Queen Elizabeth II's 60 years on the throne.
Each piece pays tribute to dresses worn by the Queen in the last six decades.

However Westwood has decided to forgo the usual British red, blue and white colour scheme and has opted for silver, gold and bronze instead.

The collection features draped cocktail dresses and corseted gowns in silk, organza and taffeta and also some jewellery inspired by the monarch.

The Red Carpet Capsule Collection will go on sale at the end of May.
