Arrest After Restaurant Fire

Police investigating a big fire at a restuarant have arrested a man on suspicion of arson.

A 33-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested at 1.45pm yesterday on suspicion of arson.  He is currently in custody at Ipswich police station awaiting questioning.
 
It's after police were called to the Bahat Restaurant on Norwich Road in Ipswich at 3.20am yesterday morning, Monday 25th April 2011 following reports of an explosion.
 
Police, fire and ambulance attended.  Some people had to be evacuated from a couple of houses and all residents were quickly accounted for.  A couple of people were checked over by ambulance but no-one sustained any injuries.  The fire was promptly brought under control by the fire service.
