Appeal For Witnesses After Bury St Edmunds Carpark Death

Suffolk Police say they need to speak to people who were at the pub where a woman was found dead in the carpark.

Officers are renewing their appeal for anyone who was in the St Edmunds Tavern public house and the Risbygate Street area of Bury St Edmunds from the evening of Tuesday 26 March and through to the early hours of Wednesday 27 March to get in contact.

The body of 50-year-old Mary Roberts was found in a car park in Risbygate Street at around 9am on Wednesday 27 March.

Police have also lifted the final cordon that remained in place in Petch Close. 

Two men, aged 55 and 59 and both from the Bury St Edmunds area, were arrested on suspicion of murder and last night, Thursday 28 March released on police bail.
