Arrest after attempted armed robbery

A mans been arrested after an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ipswich on Monday.

Officers in Ipswich have arrested a man in connection with an attempted armed robbery at business premises in the town.

 

The  36 year old man from Kesgrave was arrested  on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

He is due to return to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on 9 January 2013.

The arrest is in connection with an attempted armed robbery at the Spar shop in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich which happened at around 9.45pm on Monday 22 October.

Police are still keen to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident. Calls should be made to Ipswich CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
