Lowestoft: Diver Who Died Off The Coast Is Named

A man who died while diving off the coast of Lowestoft has been named.

He's Christopher Vanstone, 49, from Brixton.

Mr Vanstone was airlifted to the James Paget hospital on Friday afternoon, 30 August, but was pronounced deceased on arrival.

A post mortem examination carried out at the hospital at the weekend has confirmed that he died from drowning.

The police have told Heart there are no suspicious circumstances and that his fellow divers, and those on board the boat, made extensive efforts to save his life.

The incident is still being investigated on behalf of the coroner and an inquest will be held in due course.
