Felixstowe: Man Arrested Over 1993 Robbery
A man has been arrested in Amercia over a 19 year old security van robbery that happened in Felixstowe in Suffolk in 1993.
Suffolk polcie have been wanting to speak to 56 year old Eddie Maher, since he vanished following the theft of a Securicor van from outside a bank 19 years ago.
He was arrested in the Ozarks, an area of central eastern US which includes Arkansas and Missouri.
The van full of cash vanished and was later found empty on the seafront.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: ``We are liaising with the US authorities regarding the detention of Eddie Maher, who police wish to speak to in connection with a security van robbery in Felixstowe in 1993.''
