Six fire crews have been called out to tackle a fire at a school in Bury St Edmunds.

The fire service were called out to County Upper School on the corner of Beetons Way and Anglian Lane  just before one o'clock to their science block.

It is thought two of the four classrooms in the detatched block were on fire and it took just over an hour to get the situation under control.

The school is now closed to all students today, apart from those doing A level exams during the afternoon.
