Four Arrested After Armed Robbery

Four people, including three teenagers, have been arrested after an armed robbery.

It happened at Blockbusters on Woodbridge Road in Ipswich at around 6pm yesterday evening, Thursday 9th June.

A report was received just after 6pm of two men entering the store armed with knives and with scarves partially covering their faces. They approached staff and demanded money from the till.

A three figure sum of cash was handed over and the two men left, getting into a dark coloured vehicle driven by a third person and driving away from the scene.

A member a staff was threatened but no one was hurt, however staff and a member of public inside at the time have been shaken by the incident.

A 22-year-old man from Ipswich, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy both from the Felixstowe area and a 16-year-old girl also from the Felixstowe area have all been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

All four are being held in custody at Ipswich Police Station awaiting questioning.
