Group Arrested After £1m Theft Face No Further Action

Two woman and a man arrested after theft of £1.2 million from outside a bank in Felixstowe will face no further action.

Three people arrested and released on police bail in connection with the investigation into a security van theft outside Lloyds Bank, Hamilton Road, Felixstowe in 1993 will receive no further police action at this stage, and have had their bail cancelled.

57 year old "Fast" Eddie Maher was jailed for five years for the theft on Tuesday, March 5th 2013.

A 47-year-old woman and a 64-year-old woman from Eastbourne in East Sussex were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal and assisting an offender on 18 December 2012.

A 54-year-old man from Woodford Green was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft on 15 January 2013.

A decision has been made by the Crown Prosecution Service and Senior Investigating Officers at Suffolk Police that no further action will be taken against them at this stage.
