Emergency crews have been at a school in Haverhill overnight after a fire broke out.

Around 50 firefighters were called to the derelict Castle Middle School on School Lane in Haverhill just after 10 last night.

People living nearby were advised to keep their windows closed and to stay indoors, but didnt have to be evacuated, and a cordon was set up around the area after worries about gas cylinders inside.

Suffolk Police were also in attendance, but have now left the scene after the fire was brought under control.
