Luke Piggott, 23, and David Devlin, 21, went missing from Hollesley Bay Prison in Suffolk at around 11am that morning.

Piggott, from the Houghton Regis area of Bedfordshire, was serving a sentence for robbery after being jailed in 2007, while Devlin, from Ruislip in Middlesex, was serving a four year six month term for burglary.

Piggott is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and a receding hairline, brown eyes and had a goatee beard and was wearing a grey high neck jumper and blue jeans.

Devlin is white, of similar height and of slim build, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his forehead.

As soon as officers were notified they were missing they contacted other Constabularies where the pair are known to have links including Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Police and address checks were carried out during Sunday 2 and since that time to try to locate them.

If anyone sees Piggott or Devlin they should phone the police with the details. They should not approach them or take any further action.

Anyone who may have seen either of the men, or who may have information about where they are now should contact Suffolk Police or their nearest police station using the new national number 101.
