Ipswich: 17-Year-Old Arrested After Shopping Centre Stabbing

Police were called to the Buttermarket Shopping Centre in Ipswich Friday 1 February.

They'd had a report that a boy had sustained a stab wound to his left side.

The boy was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police also received a report that a second 17-year-old boy was assaulted in Upper Brook Street, Ipswich at around 3.30pm on Friday 1 February.

The boy suffered a facial injury and was treated at Ipswich Hospital.

The arrested boy, who is from Ipswich, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm and is currently in custody a the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he awaits questioning.
