Ipswich: 19-year-old Charged After Crash Leaves A Woman With Head Injuries

A teeanger's been charged after a crash in Ipswich that left a woman with serious head injuries.

The collision happened along Colchester Road last month and involved a Vauxhall Corsa and Piaggio scooter.

The rider of the scooter, a 57-year-old woman from Ipswich sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital where she's still in a stable condition.

Ryan Matticks of Aldercroft Road, Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He's now been charged with driving without due care and attention and is now due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday 24 June 2013.
