Ipswich: Charlie Simpson Homecoming Gig

Suffolk's Charlie Simpson will be performing a homecoming gig tonight as part of his solo tour.

The singer was born in Ipswich and grew up in Woodbridge. 

He will doing a show at the Ipswich Corn Exchange tonight, performing songs from his solo album 'Young Pilgrim.'

The show starts at 7pm.

Charlie has been telling Heart that he's really looking forward to doing a homecoming performance: "It's really nice because I've always wanted to show in an Ipswich venue, so I can't wait and I love be able to bring a lot of my friends and family down so it's going to be a really fun night."

He also said he loved coming back to this part of the world: "I just find Suffolk is just so nice to come back to -  it's just so chilled out - I love it."
