Ipswich: Man Arrested After Woman Is Raped

A man's been arrested on suspicion of rape in Ipswich after a 27-year-old woman reported being attacked in September.

Ipswich Police have told Heart they've arrested a man on suspicion of rape after an incident in Ipswich on Friday 6 September.

A 27 year old woman told officers she had been raped by a man she did not know between 9 and 9.30pm.

An alleyway off Smart Street in Ipswich was cordoned off whilst police began an investigation.

Today, police arrested a 34 year old man from the Felixstowe area on suspicion of rape and robbery and he's been released on bail.
