Ipswich: Man Arrested Over Chantry Estate Sex Assault

A man's been arrested in connection with the sex attack which happened on Robin Drive on the Chantry Estate in Ipswich in June last year.

A 66-year-old man from Ipswich has this morning, Thursday 1 November been arrested on suspicion of a serious sexual assault in relation to an incident in the town last year.

On Sunday 5 June 2011 a woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted by an intruder inside her own home on Robin Drive.

Today police in Ipswich arrested the man, who has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he awaits questioning.
