Ipswich: Man Charged Over Chantry Estate Sex Assault

Police have charged a man after someone broke into a woman's home on the Chantry Estate in Ipswich and sexually assaulted her.

Suffolk Police have today, Friday 2 November, charged a 66-year-old man in relation to an incident in Robin Drive, Ipswich on Sunday 5 June last year.

 

Hilland Matthews of Swallow Road, Ipswich was arrested yesterday morning and taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

 

He has since been charged with sexual assault, assault by penetration and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence. 

 

Matthews will be remanded in custody and is now due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 3 November.
