Ipswich: MP Calls For Tax Transparency

Ipswich MP Ben Gummer will be calling for more openness and transparency when it comes to our taxes in Parliament tomorrow.

He says he wants people to know exactly where their tax money goes and what it's used on as well as how much people have spent:

"You get a mobile phone bill which tells you how your calls have gone and the number of pence you've spent for every single second.

You get a bill when you go to the supermarket till, and yet your biggest bill of the month is the tax man and yet at the end of it you hear absolutely nothing. You don't know how much you've paid generally and where it's gone."
