Ipswich: Skeletal Remains Moved

Police are telling Heart they've now excavated a human skeleton found on an area of wasteland in Valley Road, Ipswich.

Workmen first discovered some skeletal remains on Monday 3rd October.

Police have confirmed they belong to an adult man and have now moved the remains to the mortuary for further examination.

This will include a Post Mortem examination by a Home Office pathologist in liaison with the coroner.

The cordon remains up and searches of the site will continue this week.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Luckett said: “A number of bones have been discovered during the excavation, which appear to be most of the remains of an adult male. We will continue to search the site as we work to piece together information that will help us ascertain the identity of the man, how he came to be here and how he died.”
