Ipswich: Two Arrested After Police Chase

Two men have been arrested after the police helicopter and dogs were use in a police chase through Ipswich.

Shortly before 8.30pm last night officers were called to Birkfield Drive to reports of two men riding a motorbike at speed without crash helmets.  When they arrived the motorbike made off from the scene.

Officers followed them and the bike was found abandoned in Fitzwilliam Close.

The police helicopter and dog unit were called in to help with the search and the men came out of a house and were arrested.

A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from Ipswich were both arrested on suspicion of burglary. 

They have been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre to be questioned.
