Ipswich: Woman Suffers Head Injuries In Scooter Crash

A woman's got serious head injuries after a crash in Ipswich.

The crash happened at about 8.30pm last night along Colchester Road in Ipswich, at the junction with Westbury Road between a Vauxhall Corsa and Piaggio scooter.

The rider of the scooter, a 57-year-old woman from the Ipswich area sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital where she is described as being in a critical condition.

The driver of the Corsa, an 18-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed to return to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on 8 June 2013.
