A man and a woman have been found dead at a house in Kesgrave near Ipswich in Suffolk.

Officers called at the address at Walker Chase as part of enquiries after a 31-year-old woman was reported missing just before 8.40pm last night, Thursday 8 December.

A light was on but there was no response. Officers became suspicious and forced their way into a garage at the property where they found the body of a 43-year-old man. Entry was then forced to the home where the body of a woman was discovered.

Officers remain on scene and a second scene is up in Halls Drift where a vehicle believed to belong to one of the deceased was discovered.

Post Mortem examinations will take place in due course but police are currently treating both deaths as unexplained and have begun a full investigation into what happened.

Detective Chief Inspector John Brocklebank of the Major Investigation Team said:

“The circumstances surrounding these two deaths at this stage are being treated as unexplained. We would like to reassure members of the public that the incident will be thoroughly investigated.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Police on 101.
